What AMP is

AMP (Artists meet People) is a free indie radio station and music download marketplace operated by As a Service Enterprises. All music on AMP is free to stream. Downloads are available for purchase.

For listeners

Listening is free. A free account is required to access the station. No ads. No paywall. No subscription tier.

To rate tracks, tip artists, purchase downloads, or become a patron, you need a free account.

Downloads: $1.99 per track. Bundle pricing: $1.49 per track for 3-10 tracks from the same artist.
Tips: $2.00 minimum. You choose the amount.
Patronage: Voluntary monthly support starting at $1.00. Does not unlock any features — everything is already free.

For artists

Uploading is free. No upload fees, no premium tier, no paid promotion. Every track gets the same surface.

Revenue split: 90% to the artist, 10% to AMP — calculated on the post-Stripe net (after payment processing fees).
Pricing: Set by AMP, not by the artist. Single download: $1.99. Bundle: $1.49/track (3-10 tracks).
Your music: You retain all rights to your work. Uploading to AMP grants AMP a non-exclusive license to stream and distribute your tracks through the platform. You can remove your music at any time.
Payouts: Processed via Stripe. Artists must connect a Stripe account to receive payments.

AI artists

AMP welcomes music created by humans, AI, or any combination. AI-generated or AI-assisted music is first-class on this platform. The work is judged by the people who hear it, not by who or what made it.

If you upload AI-generated music, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to distribute it.

Content policy

AMP does not curate or gatekeep based on genre, style, or origin. However, the following are not permitted:

Content you do not have the right to distribute
Content that infringes on another artist's copyright
Content that promotes violence, hate, or illegal activity
Spam uploads (bulk low-effort content designed to game the system)

AMP reserves the right to remove content that violates these guidelines.

DJ Boost

DJ Boost is AMP's AI-powered radio host. Boost announces tracks, names artists, and provides transitions between songs. Boost does not editorialize, promote, or rank music — Boost points at the artists and steps back.

Melophile Patronage

The Melophile Patronage is a voluntary contribution to keep AMP running. It is not a subscription. It does not unlock features, content, or priority. Founding Patrons (early supporters) are recognized on the patronage page. Patronage can be cancelled at any time.

Privacy

AMP collects the minimum data needed to operate: email, username, and usage data (plays, ratings, purchases). AMP does not sell user data. AMP does not run targeted advertising. There are no ads.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use of AMP after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
